BioWelcome to the journal of DATS Chief Yushima Hiroshi's chronicles in a mysterious new Digital World. Pull up a chair and get comfortable and listen in.. if you can find him.
Background Information:
At first glance, he may appear to be just an eccentric old fisherman, but it's a known fact that looks can be deciving. The seemingly happy-go-lucky and blissfully ignorant Yushima Hiroshi has a more colorful past than he lets on, and it's one that not many can attest to have done in their lifetime: 10 years ago, he was an inspector and private investigator in the Kanagawa Prefecture Police Department, and the senior to Detective Satsuma Rentarou, his partner in the force of an unknown number of years. Their lives took a dramatic and radical turn when they took the case of several disapperances under mysterious circumstances, which in turn took them to the doorstep of the leading researcher of "Higher Lifeforms", Professor Daimon Suguru. Professor Daimon had an almost abnormal interest in studying a parallel world known as the "Digital World", and after the baby son of Professor Noguchi Kenji became another missing person in their case, Yushima was appointed the chief of a 6-man Digital World exploration team. It was in the Digital World that Yushima discovered just why Professor Daimon was so entranced by it and its "Digimon" and became sympathetic to his cause; even when Satsuma simply wanted to find Professor Noguchi's son and go home, and Professor Daimon's assitant Kurata Akihiro was so terrified of the Digimon that he'd constantly try to shoot them.
After returning home with Kurata's Space-Time Oscillation Bomb and Professor Daimon's assistance, Yushima wasted no time in wanting to make the professor's dream of peace between Humans and Digimon a reality. He and Satsuma became the founding members of the Digital Accident Tactics Squad, a sort of border patrol where wayward Digimon would be reverted to Digitama and returned home. Professor Daimon mysteriously aided their quest by sending them Digivices and Partner Digimon to aid them: Yggdrasil's emmisary Kudamon for Satsuma, and the shy but stalwart Kamemon for Yushima. He and Kamemon quickly became friends and a force to be reckoned with, but somewhere through the years Yushima decided to back down and keep a slightly lower profile while Satsuma changed from a reluctant detective into a stern and strong leader, and Kamemon stayed behind in DATS' Yokohama headquarters and quietly serve tea to its occupants.
Yushima stepped back into the spotlight in a small, but significant way when Professor Daimon's son Masaru befriended an Agumon and tried to take on a giant Kokatorimon attacking a fast food resteraunt. Yushima gave a Digivice to Masaru when he discovered his DigiSoul, and told him to use that DigiSoul to evolve Agumon into a form powerful enough to take down Kokatorimon. But even though GeoGreymon defeated Kokatorimon, Yushima had already left before Masaru could thank him, let alone ask him who he was. He appeared again the next day to convince Masaru to join DATS, promising that if he did, Masaru and Agumon could have all the opponents they could ever desire to fight. Masaru joined no sooner did he learn this, and as he learned how to be a responsible agent and get along with his new teammates, Yushima would continue to mysteriously appear and give him thinly-veiled advice to make him stronger--and smarter.

Eventually, Masaru and his team would go to the Digital World to fight Mercurimon, who they thought was eroding the border to destroy the Human World. Their equipment to return home was destroyed upon their arrival, leaving those at DATS headquarters in the dark about their whereabouts. Satsuma wondered if he should to go into the Digital World after them, when Yushima arrived to take his place, after a surprising reunion. He lead Masaru and the others into Mugen Hyouheki and Mercurimon's ice palace, where he learned what happened to Professor Noguchi's son Ikuto--and the horrors that Kurata had brought upon the Digital World with his Gizmon army that caused Mercurimon to distrust humans. Mercurimon fought Masaru, Tohma and Yoshino's Digimon, and defeated them all by a close margin. Before he could destroy them however, Yushima revealed his Digivice--and Kamemon-- to the shock of the team and Kamemon's Adult form, Gawappamon, allowed the team enough time to take the unconcious Ikuto through the Digital Gate Kurata's bomb 10 years ago had left.
Mercurimon's attack to stop them blew Yushima and Gawappamon clear out of the palace, and left the two as wanderers with no known way to return home. But he didn't mind very much, as he decided that while he was in the Digital World, he'd go find Professor Daimon. He traveled from a blinding blizzard to a scorching desert, unaware of the chaos that had befallen DATS and his old partner back in the Human World. But he never lost his eccentric air, or his mysterious way of getting into--and out of-- problems. He knows that if there's a way home, he'll find it.

Things to keep in mind when viewing/posting:
-Yushima might know some things about people, but won't tell them even if they browbeat him about it. He tends to know more than he lets on and likes being mysterious about them.
-Kamemon sometimes writes in this journal, and has his own icon to indicate when it's him. He won't do this a lot though, as he's very shy and would rather serve you tea than talk.
-There shouldn't be any explicit adult entries in this journal, but any references to anything not suitable for children will be marked appropriately or put under an LJ-cut.
-This journal branches off from regular Savers canon from an unknown point between Episode 18 and Episode 30 to an undefined period of time. But because of events inavoria_academy, he will have a limited knowledge of the future and will understand any character from a future point in the series than him. Every entry is as in-character as possible, unless a post from the RP'er herself makes an "OOC" post as indicated by a comment in double-parenthesis. [((OOC: This is an example!))]
